Size: about 1-1/4 inch
Has gold leaf-like pattern on wings. Sparkles in the sun. Red antenna. Has pointy crest on thorax -- almost shape of helmet; small narrow head with proboscis.

it's a Wheel Bug, Arilus cristatus
which is a type of Assassin bug.
