They've already appeared
Since then, in the same part of the yard, I've seen at least one larger nymph with a white background and red and blue markings, similar to one I posted earlier than this green one. Not necessarily the same individual, though; various instars are around all the time.

I occasionally see the adults, too. A few weeks ago, two or three of them at once would perch on the siding near the porch light in the evening.

Ooooh, loquats!!!!
They were a part of my childhood in Africa and I shared a tree with some neighborhood raccoons when we lived for four years in California...I miss them (the loquats--not the raccoons)! Sorry I can't help with an ID!
