Although there are U.S. specimens of this gorgeous passionvine-feeding bug dating to the 1940's, this species isn't listed in Henry & Froeschner (1988) "Catalog of the Heteroptera" (1)

Has been only recorded once per decade since the 1970's.

Shot at the Sabal Palm Sanctuary, se. Brownsville, Cameron Co., Texas
