Cool-- 15 years later I still have only encountered this once, but there's plenty of Impatiens around my house and I'll keep an eye out this summer for larvae to rear.

It will be cool to see if you get anything.

We've got Impatiens capensis right outside the lab, I've been walking past it for years now but have only ever seen leaf mines on it. Then again, I was only clued in that Aglaostigma eats it after a post on Twitter the other day, and only found my way here through a link on iNaturalist this morning. Serendipity!

Jewelweed sawfly larva
I saw what looked like this larva today on jewelweed in Falmouth, MA. I'll try to find it and rear it out.

This is the only one I've ever seen, but apparently now is the time to look for them, since I took this picture six years ago to the day!
