Cool Oregon beetle 1: cool Hypherpes - Pterostichus diana
Alsea Falls, Benton County, Oregon, USA
October 25, 2009
Size: 5.7mm
sorry for the kind of lame positioning. Beetle is in 100% EtOH. IDed as Anilloferonia by D. Maddison and according to BoA, this is a synonym of Hypherpes. Probably the coolest Hypherpes I've encountered so far. Collected under a entrenched log in campsite near the falls.
