i think ryan is right,,
Hemileuca nuttalli maybe still in gregarious instars..if there was a bunch on the plant, or no other plants nearby forcing them to stay together., on the wlss they say another brush beside snowbrush, and i think this is that..bitterbrush, or mountain snowbrush. i think it was..heres your moth if you find these again..get hold of me on my email and ill coach you to rear them..also im jealous that you live in idaho i want to move there so darnnnnnnn bad.

Yes, Ryan is correct. It is the larva of Hemileuca nuttalli.
