Riding's Forester Moth - Alypia ridingsii
Mayfield Pond, Alfalfa, Deschutes County, Oregon, USA

Size: 1-1/2"
This small moth with bold black and white markings was photographed along the edge of Mayfield Pond, a small watershed on rugged BLM (U.S. Bureau of Land Management) land 12 miles east of Bend, Oregon, about 1/2 mile north of Alfalfa Market Road.

the angle at which the camera was that affects the wing "roundness"?
