These lice were taken from a homeless man in my medical practice. I put the lice on myself for the photograph. The adult louse began feeding within a couple of minutes.

Wow!
I've spent lots of time and effort for BugGuide, but I don't think I would ever do something like that! I hope you don't end up with some lice-borne illness for your effort.
It
is
good to have an image of this species in its "natural habitat", though (to have
any
image, in fact).
