Crab-like Rove Beetle - Tachinus corticinus

Size: 4.5 mm
In leaf litter. Tachinus corticinus Gravenhorst, 1802. Det. Adam Brunke 2009. This species first showed up in North America from Quebec, and was recently detected in Ontario. So far, Specimens collected in Guelph represent the northernmost distributional records of this species.
