Cool find!
The last place I have seen horseshoe crabs was in my home country of Singapore. Down there they are common in estuarine habitats, such as mangrove swamps.

I've seen hundreds of these...
living fossils coming on shore to mate while out fishing on the York river. They are a sight to see, especially in large congregations.
