carpet beetle life - Anthrenus verbasci

The top photo was taken on September 1, 2006, when I found this larva walking up a wall in my house. The bottom photo was taken on September 10, 2006, after 10 days of feeding the larva mosquitoes (which I also caught in my house and killed for the larva).

I tried some other dead insects over the next few months, including other flies, but the larva seemed to like mosquitoes the most.
