Dragonfly? - Celithemis amanda

Dragonfly? - Celithemis amanda
Lake Placid - Archbold Biological Station, Highlands County, Florida, USA
July 25, 2009
Size: 35mm roughly
Smaller dragonfly. Related to an amberwing possibly?

Moved
Moved from Pennants.

Bigger colored patch and not much black on the thorax separate from ornata.

Thank you
again!

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

It is one of the Pennants
in the genus Celithemis. One needs to look carefully to decide which one. We might try to figure this out later if no one gives you an ID.

probably amanda
Although I need to double check a reference or two to be sure.

Thank you!
If you are able to, that would be wonderful.

Thank you
I will move it to Celithemis and hopefully someone will recognize it.

Thanks,
Tim
