2.2-7.5mm (the smallest, at 2.2-3.1 mm, is O. linsleyi, a cleptoparasite of Perdita)

our only representative of the predominantly Palaearctic & Afrotropical tribe Ammobatini that contains >120 spp. in 8 genera worldwide
