Giant Aphid - Longistigma caryae

Is this Bark or Willow aphid? My pic shows differences from as well as similarities to both species. I have pics of a herd, with its attendant "cowboy" ant, of this same animal. This particular specimen is somewhat larger than the ones in the herd. I forgot to take a measure on this beastie, sorry. Also, is it male/female if it even pertains or an adult?

Giant willow aphid (Tuberolachnus salignus) has a big dark dorsal tubercle, kinda like a horn in the middle of its back, which this specimen does not have.
