Plymouth Rock, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
Collecting seeds of Baptisia alba, White wild indigo, and found a larva inside of a seed pod, taped the pod back together. Checked on it June 5, 2008 adding a bit of lettuce and dead leaves & leaving the pod loosely opened. It pupated on or before June 29, 2008 in 1/2 of the pod and lettuce. Found the adult dead in the jar August 29, 2008.

May 20, 2016: again, accidentally collected this larva in a pod of White wild indigo, Baptisia alba
same location, same species of plant, different year
