cottony leaf gall on bur oak - Druon ignotum

Size: 2 mm long
When I plucked away the wool, there were four hard seed-like cells (~2 mm long X 1.5 mm tall X 1 mm wide) attached to the leaf vein. This is one that I left attached for a photo. The other three broke off with handling and appear in the next photo.
