beautiful specimen. I would love too see one of those in person. Where did you find her?

A small tarantula just like this was seen in Glen Park in San Francisco by my son!!

Re: beautiful specimen. I would l
I've personally found them in the Coast Ranges from Monterey to Mendocino Counties... Most of the ones I've seen have been in relatively open areas near forests or with scattered trees, under surface objects like rocks and logs. They can be quite common in the correct habitat.

i just
dont quite think i could pick it up..i have handled orb weavers but that would scare me!
but gosh id love to see one of em. (you could hold it for me)
its just beautiful

Re: i just
Hahaha, I'm the opposite. I'm perfectly fine with handling tarantulas (and Calisogas), but many true spiders like orb weavers and Tengellids scare the crap out of me... I've had several bad experiences with walking into their webs and getting giant spiders on my face/clothes.
