Unknown Lepidopteran - Scopula

Unknown Lepidopteran - Scopula
Rickabaugh Glade, Mayacama Mountains, Mendocino County, California, USA
May 26, 2007
Photographed on Purple Sanicle (Sanicula bipinnatifida) near a large vernal pool within a mountain meadow in scrub oak and chaparral habitat.

At first I thought this might be a ringlet...but the antennae don't look right to me, and I can't see the characteristic Nymphylid "brushfoot" front legs held close under the head. I looked through some of my butterfly books, and then through "Moths of Western North America" but didn't make any progress. I'm hoping an experienced lepidopterist might see it here and recognize it.

Probably Scopula: Possibly 7171 - Scopula sideraria
(no rsvp, thanks)

Based on antennae, I'd say moth.
.

Thanks Ron
I was thinking the same thing. Too bad the antennae are so blurred...but it's the only shot I got of this guy.
