millipede - Apheloria virginiensis

millipede - Apheloria virginiensis
Kunkletown, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, USA
The patterning looks similar to this:

dead or alive?
I'm wondering--was it dead when you photographed it? It has that look.

This millipede was alive, I watched it crawl to the top of this plant while I was photographing wildflowers.

Moved from Polydesmida.

It is Apheloria virginiensis
It is Apheloria virginiensis corrugata (Wood) (Polydesmida: Xystodesmidae). Rowland Shelley

Moved from ID Request. It has the look of the family.
