Unidentified sawfly larvae on birch, alder, and hazel

Here's another note based on sorting unidentified sawfly larvae in the BG gallery by host plant, this time by members of the Birch family (Betulaceae), specifically the genera Betula (birch), Alnus (alder), and Corylus (hazelnut).

Birch, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Iowa.

Alder, Massachusetts and Ontario.

American Hazelnut (C. americana), New Hampshire.

Local host unknown (mustard likely incidental). Suggested sawfly ID in Argidae, possibly Arge pectoralis would place it on this host page. I also noticed that it resembled an unidentified sawfly larva that I placed in my Oak compilation:

As with my notes for other species (listing in "See Also" section), I am providing these sorted images in hopes that Dr. Dave Smith or other experts will find them useful, possibly leading to identifications.

on birch in Arkansas

on alder in New Hampshire

on Corylus cornuta in Ontario

Another addition

On Yellow Birch (Betula allegheniensis)

Additions
Based on a recent, tentative ID of the host plant, I have added another image to the compilation:

I also added an image to this host page based on commenter suggestion of sawfly ID:
