Aphids on rose bush in December - Macrosiphum
Willow Grove, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA
December 2, 2009
Size: almost 3 mm.
I am trying to add several closeups hoping that this helps with ID but I doubt it. It is larger than the others in the same group, but it looks like a nymph of a winged one with undeveloped wings.
They were found on the same rose bush that was heavily infested in May 2008; probably the same species.
