Southern Dogface?

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

We all goof sometimes.
This is a beautiful photo of a female.

I've been burned on these before...
but what the heck, I'll go out on a limb. I'm going to suggest Orange Sulfur (Colias eurytheme):

Now I'll wait for someone to tell me it's actually a Clouded Sulfur :)

Looks like a Southern Dogface
The sharp tip if the wings, and the "dogface" outline look just like this one.

Of course you're right.
That was a definite rush to judgment on my part. (I didn't even notice the photographer's--correct--suggestion!) Epic fail (hangs head in shame).

Stiff upper lip, Ken
You've certainly done well with the posts I've followed. Keep at it!

That's right
Ron's right Ken. You should see all the mistakes I've made:-)

I appreciate the encouragement, Ron & Tom...
but this one's going to stick in my craw for a while. (I don't mind being wrong--that's how you learn--but I really hate being stupid-wrong and careless-wrong. I know better.)
