little leaf-footed bug - Leptoglossus brevirostris

little leaf-footed bug - Leptoglossus brevirostris
Waco, Texas, USA
November 25, 2009
Size: about 11-12 mm
Found crawling on mistletoe on a cool sunny day. We have four common species of Leptoglossus in this area and this one was decidedly different. It is more squat, smaller, and the pronotum looks more robust in comparison to the rest of the body. This is the only one of this species that I've seen so it was IDed by using several web and book references.
