Tiny insect from playground - Mesopsocus laticeps

Tiny insect from playground - Mesopsocus laticeps
Houghton, Houghton County, Michigan, USA
July 7, 2009
Size: 2 mm
Found this crawling on a wooden swingset at the playground in early July, underneath some maple trees. There were several others like it. The graph paper squares are 1 mm. It appears to be a nymph of some sort.

To be honest, I never expected this one to be identified down to the species like this. Thank you very much.
