Remarks
Forms galls in Rubus stems. "Irregular stem gall, length 1 inch, midge, summer." (1) "Swellings are usually on the smaller, apical branches, are sometimes strongly ridged, and contain several yellow larvae. Larvae overwinter in the galls." (2)
