Unidentified sawfly larvae on viburnum and elderberry

Here's another note based on sorting unidentified sawfly larvae in the BG gallery by host plant, this time Viburnum Viburnum and Elderberry (Sambucus), both traditionally placed in the Honeysuckle family (Caprifoliaceae). Four postings:

Black Haw (Viburnum prunifolium), New York.

Squashberry (Viburnum edule), Alaska.

Probably Elderberry (Sambucus), New Hampshire and Ohio.

Texas. Black Elderberry (Sambucus nigra = S. canadensis) is the only native Sambucus species in Texas.

As with my previous notes for other species (listing in "See Also" section), I am providing these sorted images in hopes that Dr. Dave Smith or other experts will find them useful, possibly leading to identifications.
