Bee - Coelioxys - female

Bee - Coelioxys - Female
Elkton, Douglas County, Oregon, USA
August 6, 2009
Friendly little bee. It kept raising the tip of its abdomen gently up and down in a slow, graceful rhythm. I think it might have been calling for a mate.

Moved from ID Request.

yes
a Coelioxys female moving its metasoma to breathe

Females don't need to call the males. They are enthusiastic enough already.

Looks like it could be subgenus Boreocoelioxys.

A late-night, wild guess, here...
but how about something in the Megachilidae; maybe in or close to Coelioxys?
