Range
Worldwide. It originated in East Asia.
Food
Hundreds of host plants in 40 families.
Life Cycle
Many generations a year.
Remarks
Considered a major pest because they cause damage to vegetables and ornamentals. Can transmit viral diseases. There is a wide variety of predators that are used as biocontrols, ladybugs, syrphid flies, parasitic wasps, etc.
