I see that the status of this species
in Ontario
is "S1" (critically imperiled).
Also, almost all Internet sources spell the specific epithet with 2 Os ("cacopil
o
ga" or "cacopil
o
gus" -- not "cacopil
i
ga" as it currently is on BugGuide).

Tough one. Proctacanthus body form. Odd genitalia. Certainly in the advanced robber group and may be in one of the other genera that are closely related to Machimus.
