Nice series
I wonder why she metamorphosed so quickly. I think this species normally overwinters as a larva inside the cocoon, then pupates and emerges in the spring--or some subsequent spring.

 
Info page
mentions some areas having two generations per year. Maybe being in the laundry room confused its cycle.
