The small colony I've found is not attended by ants.

Anyhow the male adult has the colorful yellow spots as seen here, while the female does not.

Nice photos!

It is the nymphs that attract ants, so if the colony is very small or composed mostly of adults, they will probably not be discovered readily by foraging ants.
