Ptiliidae...
looking inside the parted elytra, looks like feathered wings. I think this is a ptillid.

I'll need to pick the beetle up at school and bring it home to photo the wings. But will do.

Leiodidae...
is my first guess. Antennomere 8 looks small, too.
