BG2684 E6107 - Scarites subterraneus

BG2684 E6107 - Scarites subterraneus
Baton Rouge, Brookhollow Drive, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, USA
September 1, 2009
Size: body length 16.1 mm.
We believe this may be a carabid in the genus Scarites. If the antennomeres qualify as “roundish”, then the size (body length 16.1 mm, elytra 8.9 mm.), and presence of punctures on elytral interval #3 suggest S. subterraneus.
Placement would be appreciated.
Gayle
