Cybaeidae? - Meriola californica

Cybaeidae? - Meriola californica
Henry Cowell Redwoods SP, Santa Cruz County, California, USA
December 16, 2009
Size: ~ 5 mm
Found this spider in the public bathroom at the park... Resembles some of the Cybaeidae, although I sometimes confuse these with the amaurobiids as well. Or maybe a different family entirely? :)

Moved

Good call
Laura.

Moved
Moved from Entelegynes . From Rod Crawford: I'd say Trachelas pacificus.

OK -
thanks Rod and Lynette!

Erigoninae?
Those stumpy legs and that bald pattern remind me of some of the Erigoninae. (Like Grammonota gentilis) I wish I could see the eyes clearly.

No other pics -
will frass (or you can) unless you think otherwise...

Not sure...
I'm not willing to say Cybaeidae right now. I don't like that carapace groove for Cybaeidae, but I can't place it anywhere else either.
