tiny spider - Theridula emertoni

tiny spider - Theridula emertoni
hudson valley County, New York, USA
October 30, 2005
Size: maybe 1 mm
thought it was a mite at first until i brought it up on the computer. i can see four indentations on the abdomen. wondering if it is immature or adult.

Theridula emertoni
If the ID is correct, it will double in size. Easy to ID, it was on the original 'Golden Guide Spiders and Their Kin' cover and many reprints.

Do you know the ID
of any of the other spiders on the Theridula page?

Not really
I moved a couple of pictures from this page that were misplaced, and the other pictures seem OK. After reading the comments I believe they are Theridula as well, but have no idea what species. I do think this picture is a T. emertoni, if you want to give it a home.

thanks, jeff
what do you mean ...it will double in size? when it becomes an adult?

Yes
an average adult size is 2mm.
