COSMOPTERIX CLEMENSELLA ??? - Cosmopterix bacata

COSMOPTERIX CLEMENSELLA ??? - Cosmopterix bacata
Okeechobee County, Florida, USA
October 26, 2009
I am unsure of this ID. I had trouble finding it on BG so looked at Machele White's site on MPG and found this. It looks like it but I am unsure. Thanks so much for looking and helping.

Genus looks good to me,
but don't know if a species-level ID is possible. Your specimen looks a great deal like the one below, which has not been identified beyond the genus level.

Perhaps one of our resident moth experts will have more to say.

Genus
Thanks so much for your reply. At least I can be sure of the genus and maybe someone will know the species. Carol

Photography tip
I've seen Bob Patterson comment a few times that for micro-moths with curved/rolled wings like this, it's important to get a clear side view.

Photography
Thank you so much for your information. I am very new to moths and just starting to photograph them and learning as I go. Next time I will pay more attention to details and realize I have to take photos from several angles. These little ones are a challenge. I think a tripod would help as well. Hope I find his one again. Carol
