Caddisfly? - Ptilostomis

Caddisfly? - Ptilostomis
Thornton, Grafton County, New Hampshire, USA
July 7, 2009
I don't believe I have ever seen this type of caddisfly before. I'm not sure if I got a good enough picture to identify its sex, but, any ideas?

Philostomis
Adam-

This caddisfly is of family Phryganeidae and genus Philostomis, of which you have (4) species in New Hampshire, Philostomis angustipennis, P. ocellifera, P. postica, and P. semifasciata. I doubt it can be identified to species based on your photo.
