I have to find another one of these! I think the springtail is dead. The furca is in the released position. I wonder if the mite had it for breakfast?

The mite is a member of the family Cunaxidae. Although the image is not to clear I would place it in the subfamily Cunaxoidinae. Genus: lacks detail to establish
