Common Barklouse - Trichadenotecnum

Common Barklouse - Trichadenotecnum
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
December 24, 2009
Size: 3-4mm
First thought this was a Indiopsocus texanus because of the yellow patch but with all the specks, it looks more like an Ophiodopelma. BTW this specimen seems smaller than most I see.

Trichadenotecnum sp. -- det. E.L. Mockford
Moved from Common Barklice.

Smaller?
Any way you could come up with an actual measurement? If you still have access to the item that forms the background, you might be able to derive the scale from the thread-count.

Hmmm
Using measuring tool in PhotoShop, I get 3-4 mm. This is actually larger than the Indiopsocus texanus I initally thought it might be. Guess I thought it smaller because I had hard time photoing :)
