Lichen Grasshopper - Trimerotropis saxatilis - male

Lichen Grasshopper - Trimerotropis saxatilis - Male
Golden, Jefferson County, Colorado, USA
August 17, 2005

Moved
Moved from Grasshoppers.

Hard to be absolutely certain
without more views of him, but I'm fairly sure he's Trimerotropis saxatilis. I'm assuming he was found in an area of exposed rock? If the hind tibiae are other than yellowish, it is something else.

added another view
I'm not 100% sure it's the same individual. Pic was a few frames from the first one. I think it was the same hopper, flew down the trail a bit. Same trail. Definitely rocky. They were sitting on the rocks like this one. I'll unlink these two if you think they're different individuals.

They are different individuals,
but the added comment on habitat definitely helps. I think they are probably both T. saxatilis, this one I'm convinced for sure, the other one likely so also (but maybe that one is T. pallidipennis).
