Found in a folded-leaf shelter on a miniature rose that has extensive mines and other leaf damage.

shows damage to a leaf of another miniature rose next to the one where this larva was found. The two plants have similar damage, and on the other plant I found a larva that looked like this one.

Are you certain
that this is the same larva as in the other photos? I agree that the other one looks like a sawfly, but this looks like a moth larva to me.
