Gloster, Gloster Arboretum, Amite County, Mississippi, USA
September 6, 2009
Size: body length 24.7 mm.
We think this buprestid is in the genus Chalcophora. The bright brassy color seems more appropriate for other species, but key features suggest C. virginiensis.
Placement would be appreciated.
