Cross-lined Wave, formerly (?) Calothysanis amaturaria, the larva is an impressive creature, sometimes called "cobra inchworm" (see pics: 1, 2).
I'm guessing it's in the same tribe as the Chickweed Geometer.

names

It's listed as Calothysanis at nearctica.com, and the original genus is given there as Timandra. In 1999, Parsons et al included Calothysanis as a junior synonym of Scopula (see Butterflies & Moths of the World) but I could find no reference to a "Scopula amaturaria" on the web, so I guess that change hasn't caught on yet - maybe other sources don't agree with the proposed change?).
