Just west of Sonora Pass, Sierra Nevada Mountains, Tuolumne County, California, USA

Size: 12 mm
Here's a mysterious little beetle that I think might be a Calosoma. The small size seems distinctive. It was found on the ground in subalpine habitat at about 2800 m. The date above is the date of collection.
