great ventral shot!
I always like having a ventral photo of lady beetles. Some of the most important features are on the underside, the kind where the key says "Postcoxal line of Scymnus type = this tribe, postcoxal line of Nephus type = that tribe," and you can't get any further than that if someone didn't photograph the venter. Also vital for the "twice-stabbed" lady beetles in Chilocorinae - you can't tell

without flipping it over. So keep flipping 'em when you photograph 'em!

Venter
I was hoping there was something of interest on their undersides! Wait till I submit the (what I think to be)
Mulsantina picta
photos in a few minutes... I got some nice venter photos! I used a different light source than I did on this
P. borealis
and it turned out better. I might even try to get some better re-takes of this one since I still have it.
