Explanation of Names
Named in honor of Herbert Spencer Barber (1882-1950), who collected the first specimens.
Size
Forewing length 9-12.5 mm. (2)
Range
Southern Arizona.(2)
Type locality: Ray, Arizona, 4400' (H.S. Barber).
Food
Larval hosts include: (3)
Agave palmeri (Palmer's century plant)
Agave schotti (Schott's century plant).
Remarks
Genus Agavenema was synonymized with Prodoxus by Pellmyr et al. 2005 (1)
