Found alive in Formica sp. ant nest at base of old Pinus sp. stump, edge of oak forest/savanna.

Determined to species using Nadine Kriska's MS thesis tome 'The Scarabaeoidea (Coleoptera) of Wisconsin: Species Inventory, Taxonomic Keys, Natural Histories, and Distributions'.
