Most likely Pholcus phalangioides
A female Pholcus phalangioides. That's the most common cellar spider, especially in human related habitats.

 
Based on the spiders elongate
Based on the spiders elongate shape and coloration, it's clearly a Pholcus, but there are several very similar species in the eastern United States. A definitive ID will probably require a close look at the spider's reproductive structures and accurate body measurements.
