Develops in galls on wood nettle (Laportea).
"Ovoid, smooth, translucent gall with short terminal nipple, connected to plant by narrow pedicel . . . Commonly found on leaves in June, the galls can be seen also on petioles, stems, and flower parts later in summer." (1)
