Pictures of Eastern Pondhawk
Here are pictures of female Eastern Pondhawks from Florida.
I believe that they illustrate the points that I was making in my previous comment about the differences between the Great and Eastern Pondhawks.

In my opinion - Great Pondhawk
Erythemis vesiculosa


The pale femora give this away as well as the different abdominal markings as compared to an Eastern Pondhawk. The black markings on the abdomen of the female and immature male Eastern are more pointed in the front.
